Resources for Kamali‘i and ‘Ohana

Resources for Kids

We understand these are difficult times: schools are closing, businesses are closing, and many have been asked to stay home. We hope you can make the best of this time with your children.

Call your local Liliʻuokalani Trust Youth Development staff if you need more ideas or have questions about how to keep your keiki/ʻōpio busy.

Here are some ideas:

  • Take care of your bodies - exercise, stretch, sleep, and eat nourishing foods
  • Make new positive memories together at home
  • Tell stories about the past or make up new stories
  • Make art, sing songs, build things, discover how things around the house work
  • Be quiet. Be loud! And have fun.

Kūkulu Kumuhana Keiki Activity: What is your Superpower?

null

During this time of Covid-19, life looks different and things are shifting and changing daily.  Our keiki see it and feel it too. They may not have the words to express the emotions they are feeling or understand this rapidly changing environment.  Or they may express it as anger, fear, or just want to bury themselves in social media or video games.  Liliʻuokalani Trust and Vibrant Hawaiʻi offer this activity as an opportunity for your family to spend time together as an ʻohana and have fun with superpowers!
