We offer programs and services across Hawaiʻi and in a mix of formats--from virtual, to hybrid, to in-person. Our team is constantly adding new programs and services, so check back frequently.

Some offerings are not searchable on our website, as they are only available for kamaliʻi and ʻohana who currently have a relationship with LT. Please reach out to your LT worker for questions.

Puʻu Lei o Liliʻu

Puʻu Lei o Liliʻu (PLOL) acts as a hoʻokahua (foundation) for healing, wellness, and connection. PLOL holds year-round programming for Native Hawaiian kamaliʻi ages 14-18, specifically those transitioning out of the juvenile justice system, involved with the child welfare system, or facing academic challenges.

Mohala I Ka Wai, Ka Maka O Ka Pua

Mohala I Ka Wai, Ka Maka O Ka Pua is a Summer program geared toward ʻōpio in middle school and high school who are interested in learning about experience Kauaʻi through its wahi pana & mālama ʻāina. ʻŌpio will visit significant sites and learn accompanying moʻolelo and oli.

'Ōlino Summer 2024

ʻŌlino Summer is designed to give kamaliʻi ages 11 to 18 a fun and safe space to spend their summer building pilina and exploring pathways they love or have always wanted to try. Each age group will have the opportunity to explore one of the pathways designed to learn new skills and have new experiences while being rooted in Hawaiian culture and values.

Nā Leo o Kamakaʻeha is an exciting paid 16-week opportunity for youth ages 16 - 26. Participants will help to develop exciting youth programming for the community, speak up for what they believe in, and will become more confident and courageous in advocating for change. Virtually and in-person, up to 10 hours/week.

After-school Hui

A safe place for kamaliʻi with interactive activities to practice aloha. Activities include enrichment through an action lab, kani ka pila (mele) and athletic workouts in addition to academic support and training. Held at Kīpuka Hilo for kamaliʻi in grades 6-8.

Project Mohala

Make the most of your summer and early college credits! Kamaliʻi will participate in learning-community cohorts with a set curriculum. Summer curricula will include 7.0 credits over a 5 week, in-residence, session.

Ka ʻUpena ʻŌpio

During this in-person program, ʻōpio from grades 6-12 will learn about Queen Liliʻuokalani & Hawaiian culture through moʻolelo, wellness, arts & crafts. Activities will also include two huakaʻi.

Keahuolū Camping Program

Located between Kailua-Kona town and Honokōhau Harbor are two campgrounds nestled along the Keahuolū shoreline. Halepaʻo is a sandy beach surrounded by a grove of milo trees with a swimming area and tide pools. Hiʻiakanoholae is a sandy beach to the north of Halepaʻo with tide pools, blowholes, and deep ocean waters.

Māla'e Ko'a

Māla'e Koa is an exploratory program, promoting practices, behaviors and lifestyles of Aloha 'Āina. The program will consist of three (3) hana with the third hana to be an overnight camp in Keahuolū, Kona for kamali'i grades 6 - 12.

Liliʻu's Hale

During this 10 week in-person program, 'ōpio from grades 6 - 12 will learn about our Queen & Hawaiian culture through 'āina, moʻolelo, arts, crafts and cooking. Activities will also include a huakaʻi and much more.

Hoʻokahua

The Ho‘okahua program is a two-generation program for young Native Hawaiian mākua (parents) ages 18-26 years, parenting kamali‘i (children) ages 0-5 years. Ho‘okahua aims to strengthen and nurture a secure and healthy attachment between makua and kamali‘i, and prepare our young ‘ohana for independence. 

2-year program beginning Summer 2023. Approx. 7 hours per week at Kīpuka Waiʻanae.
